 Yulia Chernyavskaya
Kaliningrad, Russia
A native of Kaliningrad, Yulia began her piano studies at age five.
At age 23 in the year 2005, she has spent the last seven years studying
at the world-famous Moscow State Conservatory under the tutelage of
Zinaida Ignatieva, honored as People's Artist of the Russian
Federation, who follows the traditions of the old Russian Piano School.
A participant in the competitions, Yulia recently won several prizes in
the 2005 International Piano Competition in the Memory of Tchaikovsky
in Moscow — First Place in the Solo Division and Fourth Place in the
Duet Division.
In addition to being a 2005 GCPI participant, Gold Country Piano
Institute proudly presents pianist Yulia Chernyavskaya as guest
performer for the 2005 Opening Concert on Sunday, June 12th and one of four performers in the 2005 Gala Concert.

I was born in Russian town of Kaliningrad, which is
located between Litva and Poland. I'm 23, and 7 years of them I live
and study in Moscow.
I have a nice and unanimous family. It
consists of mother, father and older sister. My mother is musician
also, she is a teacher at school. My father and sister are economists.,
but they are fond of music and arts.
I study piano since I
was five. I try to spend all my free time for practise the piano. In my
native town I studied in the class of the Honored Artist of Russian
Federation Vladimir Slobodyan. And in Moscow my teacher was People's
Artist of RF., professor Zinaida Ignatieva. She follows the traditions
of the old russian piano school. Her favourite composers are Chopin.,
Rachmaninov., Scriabin. And thus I like them too.
I like all
kinds of art., but I'm fond of literature and painting. My favourite
authors are Dostoevsky., Tchehov., Lermontov., H. Hesse., O. Wilde.,
etc. Pictures of impressionists and creation of Van Gogh are the best
of all for me.
I'm fond of travelling., and I have been in
many countries of Europe. Each country is specific world for me. I need
this impressions to use them in my creation.
I have never been in USA and I'm so happy to get acquainted with your country and it's people!
