Ewa Tytman, Poland

Biography

In March, 2005, 14 year old Ewa won First Prize in Group II in the 8th Annual Ludwig Stefanski and Halina Czerny-Stefanska International Piano Competition in her hometown of Plock, Poland. The prize included a trip for her and her mother to come to Nevada City to observe the 6th Annual Gold Country Piano Institute Master Course and for Ewa to be presented in the 2005 Gala Concert. Last November, Ewa was invited to participate in a chamber music workshop in Japan, where she was partnered with Japanese string players to form a piano trio for the workshop. Back home in Poland her father and mother are both piano teachers, and Ewa continues her studies with Gold Country Piano Institute's Artistic Director Pawel Skrzypek.
